Welcome to My Bosses Bark, where your furry friends become our top priority! I'm Katie Rice, and I founded My Bosses Bark in 2021, after being an Independent Dog Walker for 3 years prior, with a deep passion for providing exceptional care for dogs of all ages and needs. I am a future dog trainer in training. My knowledge of dog psychology, body language and experience of dog training helps me customize each walk specifically for YOUR dog.

With decades of hands-on experience and over 5,000 walks under my belt, I've developed a keen understanding of the unique requirements of puppies, multiple dogs, reactive and senior dogs. Whether it's administering medication (no shots) or providing personalized attention, I ensure that each dog in my care receives the love and support they deserve. Every dog has different needs so each walk is customized for each furry client.

While I specialize in catering to the needs of most dogs, I recognize the importance of safety, especially when dealing with aggressive, highly reactive, or anxious dogs. That's why I require a meet & greet before booking appointments with aggressive, high anxiety/fearful dogs only. Building trust and understanding their individual personalities is crucial to providing a positive experience for both the dog and their owner.

Continuous improvement is essential in this field, which is why I am committed to furthering my education. I am in the process of obtaining certification in dog CPR, and enrolled in Dog Trainer School at Catch Canine Training Academy & participate in trainer shadowing programs, demonstrating my dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of every dog entrusted to me.

Walks: Our walks are more than just a stroll around the block. We ensure that every outing covers all the bases to keep your dog happy and healthy. This includes ample sniffing time to explore their surroundings, engaging exercise to keep them active, scheduled potty breaks, and reinforcement of basic obedience commands, if desired. We encourage you to share with us any specific training words your dog responds to, so we can maintain consistency with their training regimen at home.

Detailed Walk Reports: After each walk, you'll receive a detailed report of our adventure together, along with a delightful photo of your furry friend. This way, you can stay informed about their activities and behavior while you're away, giving you peace of mind knowing they're in good hands.

Home Security: Your home's security is as important to us as the well-being of your dog. Rest assured, we take every precaution to ensure your home is securely locked and safe before we leave.

Meet & Greet: At My Bosses Bark, we prioritize the safety and well-being of every dog in our care, especially when dealing with aggressive, highly reactive, or anxious behaviors. That's why we require a meet & greet session before booking appointments for aggressive, highly anxious, or fearful dogs only. We encourage meet & greets with all new clients.
